EMS Kegel – Elektromagnetische Beckenbodenstimulation bei Respiro

EMS Kegel – Electromagnetic pelvic floor stimulation at Respiro

EMS Kegel Pelvic Floor Training - Electromagnetic Stimulation at Respiro Care Zurich

Modern, non-invasive treatment for pelvic floor weakness

The EMS Kegel treatment at Respiro is based on high-intensity electromagnetic stimulation (HIFEM technology). This specifically activates the pelvic floor muscles – without surgery, undressing, and pain.

During the treatment, the client sits fully clothed on the EMS chair. The electromagnetic impulses trigger supramaximal muscle contractions that cannot be achieved with conventional Kegel exercises.

What is pelvic floor weakness?

Weakened pelvic floor muscles can contribute to the following problems, among others:

  • Stress incontinence
  • Urge incontinence
  • Postpartum muscle weakness
  • Complaints after prostate surgery
  • Reduced pelvic stability
  • Limitations in quality of life

Pelvic floor problems affect women and men of all ages.

How does EMS Kegel treatment work?

The electromagnetic impulses stimulate the motor nerves in the pelvic region. This results in intense muscle contractions that:

  • strengthen the muscles
  • improve neuromuscular control
  • promote blood circulation
  • support functional stability

A session lasts approximately 20–30 minutes. Generally, 6–12 sessions are recommended.

Advantages of treatment at Respiro

  • ✔ Non-invasive
  • ✔ No downtime
  • ✔ Discreet and comfortable
  • ✔ Suitable for women and men
  • ✔ In addition to physiotherapy measures

Important NOTE

EMS Kegel treatment is not a substitute for medical diagnosis or therapy. In case of pre-existing medical conditions, pregnancy, or implanted medical devices (e.g., pacemakers), prior medical consultation is required.
